Angry Workers

Italy has the crossest office workers in Europe, according to a poll carried out for Canon Europe in workplaces across the continent. A whopping 94% of the Italians interviewed in the survey said they had seen colleagues fly off the handle and shout at each other. The average among Northern European countries was 68%.

The most frequently cited causes of stress and irritation were meetings, often described as useless as well as being too longwinded. Rudeness was another key factor all across Europe, although it was more often mentioned in Belgium and Spain than in Italy. Computer glitches also frequently caused explosions of rage.

The poll was carried out by Icm Research and involved 1,857 interviews in 11 countries.
