Sport in Italy - December 3rd

The Italian Federation of Martial Arts decided to accept capoeira, a discipline now very popular in Italian gymns, as an acknowledged sport activity.

Capoeira is a ritualized, stylized combat-dance, having its own music, and practiced primarily in the city of Salvador, Bahia, and is characteristically a Brazilian expression of both dance and martial arts.
