Giorgio Armani

In London with Style

Italy has chosen one of its most celebrated designers, Giorgio Armani, to dress the national team for next year's London Olympics. The Italian Olympic Committee announced that the Milan designer would outfit the Azzurri for the Summer Games. It is the first time that a top couture designer has been chosen to dress the country's Olympic team. Full details of the partnership will be announced at a ceremony on July 20.

Armani is often the label of choice for many Hollywood celebrities and top athletes. Soccer stars David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo and tennis champion Rafael Nadal are featured in the company's advertising campaigns.

Seventy-four-year-old Armani is the president and chief executive officer of the Armani Group, one of the world's leading fashion and lifestyle design houses. It has a network of 500 retail stores in 46 countries worldwide.
