Italian News - May 14

Canadian households will finally get the chance to watch RAI International, the Italian state broadcaster, on their TV sets. The decision brings to an end a nearly year-long public campaign to get the Italian broadcaster on Canadian airwaves.

Moreover, the timing could prove beneficial to a number of Liberal MPs in the Montreal area, where the Italian community has been most vocal to get RAI on the air. The CRTC approved an application from Rogers Communications that the cable company be allowed to distribute RAI to its customers.
