Italian Sport - July 24
Tania Cagnotto has become the first Italian woman diver to win a medal at a major international championship.
Cagnotto, 20-year-old daughter of top '70s diver Giorgio Cagnotto, took bronze behind two Chinese aces in the 3-metre springboard at the world swimming championships in Montreal.
Italy has not won a diving medal at world or Olympic level since the heyday of Giorgio Cagnotto and his rival, the great Klaus Dibiasi.
